Former Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan has expressed that the 2014 Chibok girls kidnapping will remain a permanent scar on his legacy.

Jonathan highlighted the challenges his administration faced in addressing the crisis, including initial doubts about the authenticity of the abduction.

He noted that despite efforts to secure the release of the girls, the ordeal remains a defining and sorrowful chapter of his presidency.

Over 100 of the girls are still unaccounted for, a fact that Jonathan says will always trouble him.
