‘Who Told You to Use Emi lo kan Misled You’ – Primate Elijah Ayodele Warns

“Whoever told you to go and use ‘Emi lo kan’ has misled you,” Primate Elijah Ayodele warned. According to him, the slogan, which became a rallying cry during the 2023 general elections, would not serve Adedibu well if he hopes to win political influence in Ibadan. Instead, Ayodele stressed that the people of the state are expecting humility, inclusiveness, and service, not overconfidence or political catchphrases.

The cleric further revealed that unless Adedibu adjusts his political path, the All Progressives Congress (APC) may face significant losses in the city, regardless of who they present as their candidate. He emphasized that Ibadan’s political landscape is unique, with deep-rooted expectations of leadership that resonates with the grassroots.

Ayodele’s message has already stirred conversations within Oyo State politics, with some analysts agreeing that relying too heavily on slogans could alienate the electorate. Others, however, argue that Adedibu still commands strong support that might withstand such criticisms.

Despite the mixed reactions, the prophet insisted that his revelations are not personal attacks but divine instructions meant to guide leaders toward success. He concluded by urging APC and its aspirants to seek divine direction before it is too late.
