Primate Ayodele Reveals God’s Message About Super Eagles and 2026 FIFA World Cup

The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has expressed deep disappointment in Nigeria’s national football team, the Super Eagles, warning that their current form could bring embarrassment to the country if they eventually qualify for the next FIFA World Cup.

Speaking in a recent video shared on Facebook, the cleric lamented what he described as the team’s lack of discipline, passion, and spiritual strength, stating that the current squad is not fit to represent Nigeria on the global stage.

“We have Super Eagles? No, we don’t,” Ayodele declared bluntly, voicing frustration over what he called the team’s “declining quality and poor attitude.” He cautioned that unless drastic reforms are made, the squad could disgrace the nation in future tournaments.

“These players can disgrace Nigeria. I’m afraid of what will happen if these Eagles make it to the World Cup,” he said, emphasizing that the team’s inconsistency reflects a deeper moral and motivational problem.

According to Ayodele, the Super Eagles’ recent performances have been marked by carelessness and a lack of focus. He mocked their inability to maintain composure during matches, saying, “How can they score two goals and then go back to put the ball inside their own net?”

The outspoken cleric called on football authorities to overhaul the national team and enforce higher standards of professionalism. “They should suspend all of them. They are not superstars,” he insisted, questioning the justification for continued investment in a team he believes is failing to justify public trust and resources.

Ayodele also accused the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) of mismanaging the sport through favoritism and corruption, claiming that merit has been sidelined in player selection and team management. “Why must we keep spending money on them? The system is corrupt,” he lamented.

He concluded by urging football administrators to rebuild the team from the ground up, focusing on nurturing young talents with genuine skill, commitment, and national pride. According to him, only a return to integrity and meritocracy can restore the glory of Nigerian football.
