Nigerian disc jockey and philanthropist, Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy, has described marriage as a sacred bond and one of the most powerful partnerships in life.
She shared her reflections on X while celebrating her sister, Temi Otedola, who recently tied the knot with Afrobeats star Mr. Eazi.
“Call me old school, but I see marriage as the most powerful partnership in life. Maybe even the most important contract you will ever sign… with God Himself as the witness,” she wrote.
Cuppy dismissed the idea that marriage is outdated, stressing that it remains an institution capable of helping couples align with their purpose while building love, family, and legacy.
Temi Otedola and Mr. Eazi’s love story culminated in a three-part wedding celebration spanning Monaco, Dubai, and Iceland. The couple, who got engaged in April 2022, have been spotlighted globally, with Vogue publishing 99 photos capturing their romance, which began in London in 2017.
Following the ceremony, Temi adopted her husband’s surname and is now officially known as Temiloluwa Ajibade.
The wedding has been widely described as “the wedding of the century,” attracting international attention and cementing the couple’s status as one of Nigeria’s most celebrated love stories.
