Veteran Nollywood actress and preacher, Eucharia Anunobi, has urged Christians to avoid marrying unbelievers, warning that such unions can bring misery and spiritual downfall.
In a video shared on her Instagram page, the actress questioned why believers would choose partners who do not share their faith, describing it as “buying a weapon to destroy yourself.”
“How can you, as a woman or a man of God, a believer operating in ministry, consider marrying an unbeliever? Someone spiritually impotent, spiritually imbecile? You have brought the weapon to destroy yourself,” she said.
Anunobi cautioned that intimacy with unbelievers could end in disaster. “Those kisses, those hugs, those caresses with an unbeliever… There will be a Waterloo,” she warned.
According to her, carnality can never substitute spirituality, and believers risk misery if they allow physical attraction to overshadow their faith when choosing a life partner.
She added that Christians should prioritise spiritual compatibility in marriage rather than fleeting emotions or physical desires.
Eucharia Anunobi, who has consistently used her platform to address moral and spiritual issues, stressed that only marriages rooted in shared faith can truly thrive.
