Senator Sunday Karimi of Kogi West has asserted that the people of Kogi State do not need to be “bullied” or coerced into voting for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 election.

Senator Karimi criticized the rally, labeling it “insensitive, unnecessary, and preemptive.” He further described the exercise as “panic-driven and self-serving.”
Emphasizing the electorate’s independence, Karimi stated that Kogites are “too mature, civilised, and sophisticated to be marched out like schoolchildren.”
He maintained that President Tinubu’s performance makes him “unbeatable on merit.”
As proof of the president’s positive impact, Karimi cited increased federal allocations to Kogi State, several federal appointments given to Kogi indigenes, and visible development projects.
