The monarchs expressed profound satisfaction with the pace of development under AKOD’s leadership, describing his first 100 days in office as “unprecedented in the history of Ikeja Local Government.” They attributed his sterling performance to the mentorship of Rt. Hon. James Abiodun Faleke, whom they hailed as “a trailblazer in governance whose exemplary leadership qualities Chairman AKOD has clearly emulated.”
In his response, an appreciative Chairman AKOD thanked the royal fathers for their visit, support, and prayers, noting that their encouragement would further inspire his administration to deliver on its promises.
“To whom much is given, much is expected,” AKOD said, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to good governance, transparency, and people-centered development.
He noted that since assuming office, his team has focused on infrastructural renewal, social welfare, and inclusive governance designed to deliver the “Better Days” promised to the people of Ikeja.
The Chairman also assured the traditional rulers of continued collaboration with the royal institutions to promote peace, unity, and sustainable development across all communities within the local government.
The meeting concluded with special prayers by the royal fathers for the continuous peace, love, and prosperity of Ikeja, and for divine guidance and success for Chairman AKOD and his administration.
