The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Adamawa has called on its members to come out en masse to enrol for voter cards ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The state PDP chairman, Hamza Madagali, made the call during a solidarity visit by the Bwatiye people to the party executives in Yola on Monday.

Mr Madagali stressed the need for PDP members and supporters to understand that their voter cards represent their power to elect the party’s candidates at the state and national levels.

He described their emergence as PDP executives as a demonstration of the good leadership of Governor Ahmadu Fintiri, which has resulted in peace and progress for the party in the state.

Mr Madagali expressed appreciation to the Bwatiye people for the visit and their support of the party.

The state’s deputy governor, Kaletafwa Farauta, who led the delegation, congratulated the new executives.

Mr Farauta, represented by the special adviser to the governor on local government affairs, Python Power, acknowledged Mr Fintiri’s contributions in various sectors, which had led to the state’s development.

He assured that the Bwatiye people would remain loyal and supportive of PDP from the grassroots to the state level.

In his remarks, the commissioner for lands and survey, Joab Sama, said the visit had become necessary to identify with PDP at the state level due to the transformation recorded by the governor.

Mr Sama called on the Bwatiye people and other party supporters to remain steadfast and loyal to the PDP-led government for greater success.

“We felt it was necessary for us to come and register ourselves, to register our presence, and to identify with the Peoples Democratic Party at the state level.

“We are going to be loyal to the government of the PDP. We will remain in this home and build it until success is achieved,” the commissioner pledged.
