BREAKING: Quadri Didn’t Know Anything That Happened Between Me And Mr. Ataga At The Apartment- Chidinma Ojukwu

According to a report by the Punch on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, in a significant court hearing at the Lagos State High Court, former University of Lagos student Chidinma Ojukwu provided testimony regarding her relationship with co-defendant Adedapo Quadri in the case concerning the death of Super TV CEO Michael Usifo Ataga. Ojukwu, who faces murder charges alongside Quadri and her sister Chioma Egbuchu, explicitly stated that her interactions with Quadri were strictly limited to specific transactions and did not involve discussions about the incident.

During cross-examination by Quadri’s counsel, Babatunde Busari, Ojukwu clarified the nature of her dealings with the second defendant. She explained that their contact was confined to Quadri supplying her with cannabis and Rohypnol, along with assisting in producing her school identity card. Ojukwu emphasized Quadri’s complete separation from the events at the Lekki apartment, stating: “Quadri didn’t know anything that happened between me and Mr. Ataga at the apartment.”

The former mass communication student provided additional context about her activities on the day of the incident, revealing that she had contacted Quadri specifically to request more drugs after Ataga mentioned having only one stick of cannabis remaining. She maintained that Quadri never visited the short-let apartment where the CEO was fatally stabbed in June 2021 and had no knowledge of what transpired there between her and Ataga.

Ojukwu acknowledged removing a brown envelope containing Ataga’s personal documents from the scene but claimed this was done mistakenly. She informed the court that she had disclosed this to police during interrogation at her Yaba residence, identifying the contents as including Ataga’s ID card, bank statements, driving license, and a passport belonging to Mary Johnson.

The proceedings concluded with Justice Yetunde Adesanya admitting several pieces of evidence, including electronic devices and correspondence, over prosecution objections. The case has been adjourned until November 6, 2025, for continuation of the trial, with the defendants facing multiple charges including conspiracy, murder, and theft related to Ataga’s death.
