President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Emeka Rollas, has raised concerns about the forthcoming national elections of the guild, alleging a conspiracy to undermine the process.
In a post shared on Instagram, Rollas criticized a former AGN president who, according to him, failed to make significant contributions during their tenure but is now calling for a probe into the current administration.
He questioned the credibility of the move, stressing that the track record of the ex-leader does not justify their current demands.
“I laugh aloud at the conspiracy surrounding the upcoming AGN National Elections! How a former National President who didn’t leave a pin behind for the Guild is clamouring for the probe of a government that has proved everybody wrong! Things are happening, oh,” Rollas wrote.
The AGN president maintained that his administration has achieved visible progress in the guild, and dismissed calls for investigations as distractions ahead of the elections.
The comments have stirred reactions among Nollywood stakeholders, with many awaiting how the internal politics of the guild will shape the coming polls.
