Timi Dakolo Offers to Pay School Fees for Parents Struggling This Term

Nigerian singer Timi Dakolo has pledged to support parents finding it difficult to pay their children’s school fees as the 2025/2026 academic year kicks off.

Announcing the initiative on X, the Great Nation crooner acknowledged the financial strain many households face at the start of each term.

“I know it’s school fee season, it’s not always easy. I know this first-hand. So, let me help lessen that burden a little bit,” Dakolo wrote.

The artist directed parents and guardians to send their children’s school bills via Instagram to @TheOyindaOlu, with receipts of confirmed payments to be sent back as proof.

“We would DM you the receipt of what we sent to the school,” he assured.

The gesture has already attracted praise across social media, with many Nigerians commending the move at a time when the cost of education continues to rise. Families are grappling with increasing expenses for tuition, levies, uniforms, and textbooks, forcing some into difficult financial decisions.

Dakolo’s intervention reflects a wider trend of Nigerian celebrities stepping in to provide direct financial relief to fans. Known for his family-centered songs and advocacy for welfare issues, the singer has often used his platform to highlight education and community development.

With this latest initiative, Dakolo joins the growing list of public figures using their influence to cushion the impact of Nigeria’s economic challenges.
