Osun state governor, Ademola Adeleke has warned those promoting crisis in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to stop as the party knows how to handle its affairs.
The Osun state governor gave this warning on Monday in Abuja, shortly after presiding over the inaugural meeting of the Accommodation Sub-Committee of the PDP National Convention Committee.
The governor, who serves as Deputy Chairman of the Convention and Chairman of the Accommodation Sub-Committee, added that the party is addressing its issue internally.
Insisting that the party remains united and ready for its forthcoming national convention scheduled for November 15-16, 2025 in Ibadan, Oyo state, Adeleke disclosed that all necessary arrangements had been finalised to ensure a smooth and successful convention.

The governor, who added that the PDP had a long-standing culture of internal organisation and adherence to the rule of law, said, “we have just concluded the inaugural meeting of the Accommodation Sub-Committee. Everyone was present, and we have resolved everything that needed to be sorted out so that the convention can proceed smoothly. We believe it will be very successful.”
On the crisis in PDP, the governor said: “I can assure you that we are meeting and resolving our issues internally. It is a family affair. We do not want anyone outside to add sugar, pepper or salt to the matter; we are handling it ourselves. The PDP is a family, and we know how to manage our affairs.”
On defection, he said: “Anybody, whether a governor or a minister, has the right to make their own decision. That does not change anything in the PDP. We still have strong membership and widespread support across Nigeria.”
On his attendance at social events hosted by All Progressives Congress (APC) members, Adeleke said “If I have friends in the APC and they invite me to a wedding or social function, I will attend. That doesn’t mean I’m joining them.”
He, however, stated that the PDP will be a success, adding, “by God’s grace, our convention will be a great success, and the PDP will continue to grow from strength to strength.”
