Armed Robbery at First Bank in Abuja Leaves Three Dead

On Thursday evening, an armed robbery took place at First Bank in Abaji, Abuja, killing at least three persons. The Nigerian police and military intervened, resulting in a gun fight that ended the 15-man heist attempt. The criminals used dynamite to attack the Abaji Divisional Police Headquarters and the bank. Three individuals, including the gang boss, were arrested. One police officer and the gang boss were sent to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The search for the gunshot-wounded escapee suspects is still ongoing. Praising the fruitful teamwork, CP Benneth Igweh reaffirmed his commitment to safeguarding Abuja’s citizens’ safety.
