Nigerian music star Adekunle Gold has offered words of encouragement on how to deal with harsh criticism, saying that people without a clear direction in life often spend the most time tearing others down.
The Orente crooner noted that negativity is an unavoidable part of success but insisted that it should never be allowed to slow progress.
“It’s always the ones not doing anything meaningful with their lives that have the most to say about you. When they come for you, keep it moving; they’re not worth your energy,” he said.
Adekunle Gold’s remarks come at a time when he is preparing for a major milestone in his career, including the release of his upcoming album FUJI and a historic orchestral concert in London. He also recently celebrated the fifth anniversary of his critically acclaimed project, Afro Pop Vol. 1.
For the singer, the message is clear: success is best achieved by staying focused and refusing to give undue attention to detractors.
