Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar GCON, has taken to his social media handles to publicly congratulate Hon. Sadiq Dasin and Mrs. Blaise Hungushi Osagie following their inauguration as Chairman and Secretary, respectively, of the party’s State Transition Implementation Committee.
The inauguration, which took place on Saturday, October 25, 2025, marks a significant step in the ADC’s efforts to reorganize and strengthen its structure ahead of future political engagements in the state.
In a heartfelt Facebook post that quickly gained traction among party supporters, Abubakar praised the new leadership and called for unity within the ranks.
“I extend heartfelt congratulations to Hon. Sadiq Dasin and Mrs. Blaise Hungushi Osagie on their inauguration,” he wrote.
“It is my hope and prayer that their leadership will strengthen our party’s structure and unify all ADC members in Adamawa State. I fully and unequivocally support this leadership as inaugurated.”
Abubakar went further, urging members and stakeholders to rally behind the new team. “Let us focus on the real task of building a credible opposition that will deliver better governance to the people of Adamawa and Nigeria at large,” he added.
The newly inaugurated committee is expected to drive the ADC’s strategic transition agenda in the state, with a focus on internal reforms, membership consolidation, and grassroots mobilization.
Party sources describe Dasin, a seasoned politician with legislative experience, and Osagie, known for her organizational skills and dedication, as a balanced duo capable of steering the ADC toward greater relevance in Adamawa’s political space.
One senior party official, speaking anonymously, said the appointments come at a crucial time. “This is about putting our house in order and presenting a united front,” the source said. “We’ve had some internal challenges, but this leadership change signals a fresh commitment to cohesion and purpose.”
As the ADC repositions itself amid Nigeria’s fluid political environment, the spotlight now shifts to how effectively the new helmsmen can translate party rhetoric into tangible opposition impact—especially in a state long dominated by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
For now, Atiku Abubakar’s endorsement has set a positive tone, energizing supporters who see the inauguration not just as a leadership transition, but as the beginning of a broader movement for accountable governance in Adamawa.
