A young man identified simply asSmall, an indigene of Ebonyi State, has reportedly confessed to being part of the criminal gang responsible for the brutal killing of Dr. Chike Akunyili, husband of the late Prof. Dora Akunyili, former Director-General of NAFDAC and Nigeria’s Minister of Information.
The suspect, who was earlier apprehended by operatives of the Anambra Vigilante Group (AVG) Agunechemba, made shocking revelations during interrogation. He admitted that the deadly attack was led by another Ebonyi native known asJukwese. According to his confession, the assailants first targeted and neutralized Dr. Akunyili’s police escorts before turning their guns on him.
