Ahead of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) upcoming 2025 National Convention, the chairman of the Special Duties Committee and governor of Zamfara state, Dauda Lawal said his committee have assembled a team of proven strategists entrusted with the most vital lifeline of the convention.
Speaking at the official inauguration of the committee of special duties in Abuja on Friday, Lawal reminded the members that they were chosen not by chance, but for their unique blend of fiscal prudence, integrity, and unwavering dedication.
He said: “You are the convention’s central nervous system, ensuring that every organ functions with the resources it needs to succeed. Your portfolio is precise and profound, encompassing the pivotal tasks that ensure a credible as well as seamless Convention.

“Part of what you are supposed to do is to coordinate the financial activities of all subcommittees.
“Two, to collect and consolidate all budget from subcommittee chairperson. And three, to supervise and approve their budget, ensuring judicious use of parties’ resources. And number four, to take the lead in raising the necessary funds for the Convention.
Earlier, Lawal had described the task at hand as not merely an administrative task but also a sacred trust.
“You are the gatekeepers of our convention integrity, so you can imagine the burden of trust that is imposed on all of us to be fair to everyone so that we can have a very successful convention. Inshallah.
