Shortly after the missiles were fired, an Israeli drone targeted and eliminated the Hezbollah cell responsible for the launch near the coastal city of Tyre. The IDF shared this information in a statement on social media, underscoring the ongoing tensions and the swift response by Israeli forces. The official IDF Twitter account posted: “Earlier today, a terrorist cell launched several anti-aircraft missiles at fighter jets operating in Lebanese airspace. There was no threat to the aircraft and no casualties. Minutes later, an Air Force drone struck near Tyre, killing the operatives responsible for the launches.”

In addition to this targeted strike, the IDF conducted multiple operations against Hezbollah infrastructure across southern Lebanon. They struck several buildings and facilities used by Hezbollah in Chebaa, Aitaroun, and Markaba. The IDF also targeted additional infrastructure in Aitaroun and a rocket launcher in at-Tiri, which had been used in a recent attack on northern Israel. Furthermore, an IDF airstrike hit a building in Houla, southern Lebanon, where Hezbollah operatives were reportedly located. These operations are part of Israel’s ongoing efforts to neutralize threats and dismantle Hezbollah’s capabilities along the northern border.
