In a recent Facebook video, Prophet Godwin Ikuru, the founder of Jehovah Eye Salvation Ministry, issued a stern warning to President Bola Tinubu regarding the potential release of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). Nnamdi Kanu, the controversial leader of IPOB, has been a prominent figure advocating for the secession of Biafra from Nigeria. His detention has been a contentious issue, sparking numerous protests and calls for his release from his supporters.
In the video which has stirred reactions online, Ikuru cautioned that releasing Kanu could lead to the downfall of Tinubu’s administration. He emphasized that Kanu should not be freed without first ensuring that Simon Ekpa, a key figure in the Biafra movement, is brought to Nigeria. Ikuru stated unequivocally, “If Nnamdi Kanu must be released, Simon Ekpa must be brought to Nigeria. He further warned, “If Simon Ekpa is not here, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu cannot be released. If you release him, he will destroy Asiwaju’s government.”
