The Premier League club released its retained list, confirming the futures of several players. Martial and Varane, who have been pivotal figures for the team, bid an emotional farewell to Old Trafford on the penultimate match of the season. Academy graduate Brandon Williams, who spent last season on loan with Ipswich, is also set to leave. Other academy products, Charlie McNeill, Marcus Lawrence, and Kie Plumley, will join him in departing.
Veteran midfielder Tom Huddlestone, who joined United in August 2022 as a player-coach for the U-21 side, will also leave the club. Meanwhile, Jonny Evans and Tom Heaton are in discussions over potential new contracts.
