Fuji icon Saheed Osupa has responded after Burna Boy named him his greatest musician of all time.
During a recent conversation with tennis legend Roger Federer, the Grammy-winning Afrobeats star revealed that his “GOAT singers are mostly Fuji artistes like Saheed Osupa.”
Reacting on Thursday through his official X (formerly Twitter) handle, Osupa described the recognition as a landmark moment.
“This tribute is a monumental moment that celebrates the soul of Fuji music and its timeless influence,” Osupa wrote.
He added that Burna Boy’s acknowledgment not only honours his personal journey but also “shines a brilliant light on our rich cultural heritage, bridging generations and genres worldwide.”
The Fuji legend expressed gratitude for the global spotlight and said he looks forward to attending one of Burna Boy’s upcoming concerts.
In the same interview, Burna Boy also listed 2Pac, The Notorious B.I.G., Big Pun, and J Hus as his greatest rappers of all time.
